Jefferson Playground, Jefferson

Online registration is now closed.

The NOTC will present a FREE clinic for runners and walkers of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. The sessions will be conducted by NOTC board members and RRCA-certified coaches. The training program will run for eight weeks, starting Tuesday, February 9 and concluding the week of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic Virtual 10K Race, April 1-5, 2021.

The goal of this clinic is to provide a free service to the community during these difficult times, while so many have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program is designed to keep people active while training for a 10K in an eight week period. This will get people ready in time for the Virtual Crescent City Classic 10K.

The first session will be held Tuesday, February 9 at 6:00 PM at the Jefferson Playground. Attendance will be limited and COVID-19 related precautions will be followed. Pre-registration is required.

We will meet Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM at Jefferson Playground for the first couple of weeks, with Tuesday meetings optional after that. Wednesday evening sessions will be at the Lakefront near the lighthouse at 6:00 PM. Saturday morning sessions will be at Bucktown Marina at 9:00 AM. Wednesday and Saturday locations may change; this will be addressed on the first night of training. Training programs will be designed for three groups: walkers, beginning runners, and intermediate runners.

The NOTC Spring Running and Walking Clinic is open to all runners and walkers, NOTC members and nonmembers alike.
