NOLA Blue Doo Run Results

Over 400 runners and walkers donned their blue attire and joined the New Orleans Track Club as it hosted the first NOLA Blue Doo Run on a pleasant sunny evening on Saturday, September 20th. The two-mile race, benefiting Tulane University's Prostate Cancer Research Fund, started and finished at the university's Gibson Quad and followed a route through the uptown campus, with participants even getting the opportunity to pass the newly minted Yulman Stadium. Drew Haro ran a time of 9:53 to capture the men's race, with Katherine Telfeyan running a time of 12:12 to lead the women's race. Throughout race evening, participants enjoyed a variety of complimentary food and refreshments, performances by the Tulane Soundwave Pep Band and the 610 Stompers, a silent auction, a photo booth, many booths offering educational material about prostate cancer, and New Orleans-style entertainment by The Original Royal Street Players.

The NOLA Blue Doo Run was a fun and festive celebration of survivorship and helped raise awareness for the important research in finding a cure for a disease that affects one in every seven of our fathers, husbands, brothers, or sons. We are extremely thankful to Tulane University and to all of the sponsors and partners for making this wonderful and special event possible and helping to raise $130,000 for The Prostate Cancer Research Fund at Tulane University.
