Benefiting Cafe Reconcile, Children's Bureau of New Orleans, Friends of Lafitte Corridor, New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, New Orleans Family Justice Center, New Orleans Pride, Providence Community Housing, St Bernard Project, Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans, and Youth Run NOLA.

Come out to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. All net proceeds will be donated to the ten designated charities.

The national anthem will be sung by the Folgers choir. The after-party for Resilience will take place at and around the area of Redhaus. Post-race musical entertainment will be provided by the Big Easy Brawlers.

A 50/50 raffle will be held benefitting the designated charities. 50% of the money collected will be awarded to one lucky ticket holder. A second ticket holder will be awarded a certificate for Ye Olde College Inn and Rock 'n' Bowl; a third will win a pair of free entries to Oktoberfest. Ticket holders must be present to win. Raffle tickets will be available at the race: $1.00 for single tickets, $5.00 for six tickets, and $10.00 for twelve tickets.

The Folgers Resilience Run/Walk is open to all runners and walkers, NOTC members and nonmembers alike.

8:29 AM – Start of run/walk


The Folgers Resilience Run/Walk will start and finish near Redhaus, 2820 St Claude Ave, New Orleans.


The course starts on St Claude Ave at Press St, turns right on Alvar St, right again on Royal St and Clouet St, then turns left on St Claude to finish at Press St.

Timing and Scoring

The Folgers Resilience Run/Walk will not be officially timed or scored. A clock with race time will be present at the finish line.


Post-race refreshments include water from Kentwood Springs, beer from Southern Eagle, jambalaya from Cook Me Somethin' Mister, Smoothie King smoothies, Elmer's CheeWees, and cookies from Baker Maid.


Registration is open to NOTC members and nonmembers alike. All participants must be registered and wear an official race bib while on the course.

Entry Fees

  • $ 8.29 – Online only thru Feb 28 (limited to first 829 entrants)
  • $15.00 – All entrants registered by Aug 23
  • $30.00 – NOTC family registered by Aug 23
  • $20.00 – All entrants registered after Aug 23 thru race day

Family registration is available to NOTC member families registered by August 23 only and includes registration for two adults and other family members age 20 and under living in the same household. Separate entry forms are required for each family member.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Sorry, no exceptions.

Race Day Registration

Race day registration will be available at the race site starting at 7:00 AM. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Credit card must be presented.

Packet Pickup

Pre-race packet pickup will be available Thursday, August 27, 1:00-6:00 PM at Smoothie King, 2222 Clearview Pkwy, Suite G in Metairie.

Race-day packet pickup will start at 7:00 AM at the race site.

Headphone Policy

For your safety and the safety of others the NOTC and the RRCA discourage the use of headphones during the running or walking of the event.
