New Orleans Track Club 2005 Grand Prix Series Suspended

The 2005 NOTC Grand Prix Series is suspended. Awards for all divisions will be based upon scoring through the NOTC Anniversary Race held in August. This website will post results of all divisions soon, please check back in a few weeks. A flyer will be mailed out and information posted in regards to the awards presentations scheduled for January.

Divisions and Points

Youth Divisions

Divisions: 8 and Under, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14.

Points: 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50. Youth Division includes races of distances 1 Mile or less.

Adult Divisions

Divisions: Junior, 16 and Under; Open, 17-39; Masters, 40-49; Grandmasters, 50-59; Seniors, 60-69; Legends, 70 and Over.

Points: 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10.

Racewalker Divisions

Divisions: Open, 39 and under; Masters, 40-49; Grandmasters, 50-59; Seniors, 60-69; Legends, 70 and Over.

Points: 100, 90, 80, 70, 60.

Long Distance Race Bonus Points

In events of 10K distance and over, bonus points are awarded in the amounts: 150, 135, 120, 105, 90, 75, 60, 45, 30, 15. Points are not combined. Should a participant run more than one event on the day of race, they will be credited with the most amount of points obtained from one event only.

Tie Breaker Points

1 point is awarded per event to members scoring points.

Age Specifications

Your age at the end of the Grand Prix Series is the age you compete in throughout the series. Example: A participant age 39 turns 40 in October: they compete in the Masters Division (40-49) throughout the entire series.

Race Walker Rules

All competitive Race Walkers must sign in prior to the race start at the Race Walker sign-in table. They will be issued a scoring dot and a scoring race number in order to be visible to the judges on the course. Disqualified race walkers are not awarded points. Race Walkers can receive points for judging in a maximum of 2 races. Points for judging is the average points of the first six races (not to exceed 100 points). Grand Prix Series Awards

Overall Series Awards will be presented to the top five (5) overall finishers in each division, subject to the minimum quantity of races participated in. The 2005 Grand Prix Series awards will be presented in January 2006.

Series Completion Awards

NOTC Members are eligible for the 2005 NOTC Grand Prix Series completion T-shirt if they compete in all series races (regardless if they score points). Upon completion of the series, qualifying members must notify the NOTC Grand Prix Coordinators via mail, fax, or e-mail that they are eligible and their T-shirt size.
