The New Orleans Track Club is pleased to announce that CoeSolutions.com will be the "Presenting" sponsor of the 2003 Grand Prix Series. The series begins with the Elmwood Classic Race on February 9th. New features for the 2003 Grand Prix Series include an additional division in the adult Grand Prix, the Junior-Open Division which will be for ages 16 and under. The Open Division will be reclassified as ages 17-39.
The Grand Prix is designed to recognize and award NOTC members who consistently participate and perform well in club events.

Points: Top five male and female: 100, 90, 80, 70, 60.
Divisions: Junior Open (new division), 16 and Under; Open, 17-39; Masters, 40-49; Grandmasters, 50-59; Seniors, 60-69; Legends, 70 and Over.
Points: Top ten male and female - 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. Long distance race bonus points - 150, 135, 120, 105, 90, 75, 60, 45, 30, 15.
Divisions: Open, 17-39; Masters, 40-49; Grandmasters, 50-59; Seniors, 60-69; Legends, 70 and Over.
Points: Top five male and female - 100, 90, 80, 70, 60. Long distance race (10K and over) bonus points - 150, 135, 120, 105, 90.
Only NOTC members may score points. To be eligible for awards, members must participate in at least six Grand Prix events in the Adult and Racewalker Divisions or four events in the Youth Division.
NOTC members in the top 10 receive 1 point per event for participation (tie breaker).
Age for series is as per USATF rules, which is the age at the end of the series.
To score points, walkers must sign in at the race walker table. Disqualified walkers don't score points. Walkers can receive points for judging at a maximum of two races. Points for judging is the average points of the first six races. Eligibility for awards requires participation in six Grand Prix events.
Awards will be presented to the top five in each division with custom awards to the first in each division.
Any NOTC member completing all races in the Grand Prix Series will receive a specially designed tee-shirt commemorating the 2003 Grand Prix. Participants in all Grand Prix Series races must complete mail out certificate indicating shirt size.
