102nd Anniversary Jackson Day Race Results

The 102nd Jackson Day Race 9K (5.6 miles) saw cool temperatures and a nice tailwind for nearly the entire race. Sean Allerton outpaced Brendan Minihan, Jr. by 50 yards down the home stretch run through the French Quarter to take the prestigious crown with a time of 29:01. Minihan and Sean Fitzwilliam followed in 29:13 and 29:55. In the women's division it was a close race between the top 3 overall finishers that had Santilla Victorian stepping into the winners circle at 34:11. She was followed by Rachael Graham at 34:14 and Kelly Nicholas at 34:21.
In the field of nearly 1000 many winners from past years were in attendance including Wayne Chenet, Sherri Lein, Brendan Minihan, Jr., Don Paul, Ross Shales, and Fillis Friedman. Brendan Minihan, Jr. and Santilla Victorian were the winners of the Louis de Lassus award to the first NOTC member finishers. Janusz Malski won the "Dr. Pat" Award that is given to the first male masters finisher.
